You are unique. You are beautiful. You are funny. You are the best. You are smart. You are successful. You are important. You are talented. You are my favorite. You got this. You deserve to be happy. You are loved. You matter.
Did any of those statements make you feel a little uncomfortable? Do you believe them?
I get told a lot (I mean a lot) that I'm pretty. Also, some others are, that I have an old soul, that I'm a good girl, that I'm a sweetie, that I'm funny, that I'm a smartie. I get a lot of compliments. The most popular one that I get is that I'm so pretty, especially with my white gloves or socks (they're my legs, I don't know why they don't understand they aren't really socks like Dad wears or gloves, cuz it isn't cold out - another hooman mystery).
Take the compliment. People don't throw them out very often. So if someone took the time to tell you how wonderful or smart or talented you are, listen...LISTEN...don't shrug it off. Even if it makes you blush a little or get quiet. Thank them and take it in. Save it. The next time you're questioning yourself or having a down day...remember all the nice things that have been said and meant. People believe in you. Don't forget that.
