I've had the pleasure of painting a few portraits now, for people I know and their furry companions. This one was of Charlie, or Sir Charles as I like to call him.
I keep surprising myself with what I can do with the tools I let myself use and the size that I'm working with. I always strayed away from colors and had to work very large and paint was always oil. This portrait was on small paper (6x8), using printing ink, charcoal pencil and acrylics.
And now it resides in Charlie's home, for him to remind everyone who enters, what a sweetie he truly is.
